HELP SUSTAIN ONE OF THE WORLDS MOST BIODIVERSE WATERWAYS-GIVE TODAY!

The Duck River Watershed flows for over 290 miles throughout Middle Tennessee.  It meanders its way across twelve counties before emptying into Kentucky Lake on the Tennessee River.  The river’s landscape ranges from small cities and towns to sparsely populated rural areas.  The watershed provides over 300,000 people with their drinking water.

The Duck River is one of the most biodiverse waterways in the United States and North America.  The waterway has over 54 species of native mussels filtering its water.  It is one of only three streams with this level of diversity in the world.  The river features several endemic species found nowhere else on the planet, and has 35 species that are listed as federally endangered, threatened or as a species of concern.

Your gift will help the Society continue to be a tireless advocate for the sustainability of the Duck River Watershed, as well as the ability to offer community initatives such as river clean-ups, water quality testing, and adcocacy.
